Walking along the quayside with the spectacular yachts and painters, you get the real "St Trop" feeling. Enjoy coffee and cake on the terrace by the red and white painted Senequier, from where you can admire "Le Beau Monde", play a game of pétanque with the locals under the plane trees at Place des Lices, buy an ice cream at Barbarac or enjoy a rosé at the absolute hotspot Bar le Sube. Stroll along the nice shops in the many small streets, visit Le Marché, eat in one of the many restaurants or just party until late into the night.

Port Grimaud to Saint Tropez

From the ports of Sainte-Maxime, Port Grimaud and Cogolin you sail in 20 minutes - without traffic jams - with the ferry boat (les Bateaux Verts) to Saint Tropez. This crossing is definately worthwhile, it ends in the fashionable port of Saint Tropez with its spectacular yachts. Also very useful for when you like to visit Le Marché de Saint Tropez at Place des Lices on Tuesday or Saturday. No doubt the trendiest and liveliest market in southern France. A trip not to be missed.

During the summer months and on market days (Tuesday and Saturday), you better not drive to Saint Tropez. There is always heavy traffic. Do you still want to go by car? Park at Parking Le Port or Parking Place des Lices.

Beach clubs of St Tropez

The best beach clubs can be found at Pampelonne just a few kilometers from Saint Tropez, along the Route des Plages. Here you will find the famous Club 55, where you really should go for lunch, at least once! Nikki Beach is the "Place to Be" for hip and happening Saint Tropez during the summer. There are many more great Beach Clubs, too many to mention. Along the Route des Plages and Ramatuelle are also a number of renowned wine estates which you can visit, such as Chateau Minuty, known for the rosé.

Sailing and diving

You can rent a sailboat or motor yacht in the harbor. On Plage Les Canoubiers, where Brigitte Bardot has her villa, there is a good sailing club. Several places rent watercraft, jetskis and surfboards too. Do you want to dive or wreck diving? Then you can go to the European Diving School

Party in Saint Tropez

In fact it's always party-time in Saint Tropeze, especially on weekends. First get some food at Café de Paris on the quay or at Brasserie des Arts at the Place des Lices. At about 11 PM they move the tables aside, and then you can dance untill late into the night. Often there are surprise performances. In Les Caves du Roy and VIP room you can continue the partying.

Place des Lices or Aqualand for children

Saint Tropez does not really offer special attractions for children. But at the Place des Lices there is a beautiful carousel and just outside the center there is a permanent fairground. There is an Aqualand in Sainte Maxime and in the direction of La Garde Freinet you can visit Le Village des Tortues.

Cultural activities and hiking in Saint Tropez

Musee de l'Annonciade at the harbor is well worth a visit. You will find paintings from Bonnard, Matisse, Braque, de Vlaminck and Van Dongen. Or take a walk to the highest point of Saint Tropez: Le Citadel. Here you have a beautiful view and there is also a museum. For hikers there is the Sentier littoral, a beautiful route along the rocky shore. You can start from the port of Saint Tropez and you will pass the Cimitiere Marin. The route ends on the beach of Pampelonne (approx. 12 km). Also in Collobrieres you can enjoy hiking in the Massif des Maures. In the center of Saint Tropez, there are multiple Petit Casinos where you can do small shopping errands Also, a large branch of GEANT CASINO is found at the roundabout La Foux, close to Gassin. At Le Marché you will find good seafood, fresh products and local specialties du 'Terroir' on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. .

Golf courses near Saint Tropez

In the direction of Sainte-Maxime you’ll find the seafront Golf de Beauvallon. Also nearby are the golf courses of Saint-Maxime, Saint Endréol and Golf de Roquebrune, within a half hour drive.

Driving along picturesque villages

If you drive along the coast road towards Sainte Maxime, you will pass pittoresque mountain villages such as Ramatuelle, Gassin and the car-free Port Grimaud. Further inland are the typical Provencal villages of Grimaud and La Garde Freinet. Well worth a visit!
