The golden sandy beaches along the Bay of Pampelonne are really beautiful! It is therefore not surprising that there are many fashionable beach clubs on Plage Pampelonne, one of the most famous beaches on the Mediterranean. The place to be in summer for the rich and famous!
From all corners of the world, the jet set is gathered at the sophisticated beach clubs where 'celebrities' can regularly be spotted. The beach of Pampelonne is 'the place to be' on the Côte d'Azur!
The best-known beach club on Plage Pampelonne is Le Club 55. The history of this beach club goes back to 1955, when Madame de Colmont used her small wooden hut to contribute to the culinary wishes of Brigitte Bardot and her film crew during the filming of the film 'Et dieu ... crea la femme'.
Nowadays the son of this Madame de Colmont runs the heavenly beautiful beach restaurant with her famous guests; you are here among rich and famous. They often arrive from Saint-Tropez with their Maserati, Ferrari or Bentley. Others can be picked up by boat from their millions of yachts moored offshore.
You do not come here for the food, expect high prices and not always high quality, like in many places on the Cote d'Azur. But the atmosphere is always bustling, it's a nice place to have lunch and spot famous people. Order the Club 55 Veggie basket: "Le panier de crudités & anchoïade", because of course everyone is dieting here!
Perhaps the hippest beach club of Pampelonne: Nikki Beach. Here white linen curtains flutter in the warm Mediterranean breeze. You will see plates full of fresh fish, sushi and sashimi. Like many beach clubs, there are plenty of long-legged blondes walking around here, scented with expensive perfume, looking for a millionaire.
At the pool, the DJ house plays and hip young people dance to the music. The champagne sprays around. Nikki Beach Saint Tropez Beach Club exudes new money, success, beauty, elegance, class and style. Please note: only open in summer and children are not welcome by the pool!
Another well-known beach club is Moorea plage a cheerful and lively beach club. You come here by boat, there is a navette sevice, or via Chemin de Moulins by car. There is a large beach with luxurious beach beds and they have an excellent apertizer menu; lots of snacks in tapas style.
The restaurant is slightly behind the beach club and breathes a cozy atmosphere through the large parasols. The price level of this beach club is slightly lower than that of the other on the beach of Pampelonne. At the end of the afternoon the party starts, so also loud music!
Finally we would like to mention Tahiti plage the oldest (founded in 1946) and probably also the largest beach club of Plage Pampelonne. As with all beach clubs at Pampelonne, here too you will have to reserve in high season, it can be very busy and the food is pricey. See and be seen, that is the main idea here!
